Family Owned & Operated Since 1972
40 Years of History in Hialeah
A family tradition passed on through 3 generations
As we approach our 40th anniversary in business at Di Piazza’s we would like to acquaint our customers with a little bit of our family history. A history we are proud to share and that we feel make us unique and such a success today.
We are originally from a small town in Sicily called Bisaquino, also known as “La Conca d’Oro”, where all grains, olives, fruits and vegetables are produced in the region and our primary source of living.
Times were changing and our father wanted to give his eight children a better future. He decided to bring the family to “the land of opportunity”, America. We arrived in New York in 1963 and settled in Brooklyn. In the beginning the whole family was trying to make its way and we were working in any different fields, doing all types of jobs. At that time, some of us were working at restaurants and pizzeria’s. The daily routine and full time job for our mother was getting up at 5:00 a.m. to prepare lunches for everyone. This continued throughout the day and into the evening. For dinner, there was always a pot boiling ready to cook pasta for whoever came home.
When we had the occasion to eat out, we were always disappointed because the food was never as good as it was at home. We saw a good “opportunity to better and to do something we all enjoyed cooking and eating!”
In 1972, we came to Hialeah and decided to try our “hand” at the restaurant business, and so Di Piazza’s was born. Through the years we have had many other restaurants and have at times gone our own separate was but today we are happy to say the family all together again at Di Piazza! We work together as a family and include our children as well, so new generations of Di Piazza’s are always around. We have our share of loud “conversations”, which of you may hear as you finish your meal, however, we all have a common goal, our love for each other and to provide the best food and service for our customers. We thank you for your support and patronage, and we hope to be here to serve you for many more years to come.

“Real Italian, Amazing, Pizza, Family owned and operated”
– C Garcia
“Awesome food! Been going for over 25 years.”
– Roxy Cruz-Morales
“The experience started with a big load of really good garlic rolls, continued with Great eggplant parm. The servers are very good as well. It is an American owned moms ans pops place in the middle of Hialeah. I guess that would make it exotic in this town.”
– Uto Zevetse
“This place is amazing. Hidden little secret in Hialeah. The marinera sauce is delicious. The chicken and eggplant parm are tasty and the breading is perfect. The pizzas are also memorable. I live in Kendall and don’t care to drive to Hialeah just for some good Italian food. ”
– Cristina Perez
“These guys ROCK! Great pizza. I’d HIGHLY recommend you check them out. The staff was GREAT (fast and really nice), but the food is king here.”
– Mike Feldman
“The best pizza and italian food in south FL, hands down.”
